Message from Tara

I identify with the pronouns she/her/hers.

I believe in the life-changing outcomes of EMDR therapy because of my own EMDR therapy experience as a client and as a therapist, witnessing my clients recover from trauma and transform into the person they were meant to be. Trauma can change you at your core and steer you off your true path, EMDR therapy can guide you back to that path and toward your true self. I've seen people transform time and time again at all ages, all walks of life,  and with all different mental health challenges. Also,  by the time clients leave EMDR therapy they have acquired the skills needed to manage any challenges that may arise in their future. It's NEVER too late and things are NEVER too far gone to start therapy and make a change. EMDR therapists are trained to work with trauma and can handle the good, bad and ugly that comes up in therapy. You are in good hands with us!

Tara is no longer taking client referrals, her focus is on managing the practice and providing ongoing EMDR consultation for her associates.
However, she is taking bookings for professionals seeking
EMDR Consultation.

I'm Sarah, my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a practicing psychotherapist and Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers. I graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2011. I later completed a Master of Social Work degree at Western University in 2018.

My goal in the therapy room is to create a safe space that allows you to get to the root cause of your distress in order to move forward in life. I am often described as direct, but am committed to provide a warm, welcoming and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

Between my undergraduate and graduate degree, I spent time living and working overseas as a kindergarten teacher in Seoul, South Korea and in Hong Kong. Prior to moving back to Canada, I studied to become a meditation instructor in Rishikesh, India.

I am a firm believer and practitioner of client-centred  and trauma informed care. Together, we can work towards bringing the parts of you that are seeking change in order to heal. I am comfortable sitting with clients who are working through difficult emotions, feelings and memories. I specialize in supporting clients who feel held back by their past experiences or traumas. I have helped many clients over the years suffering from complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, personality disorders, psychosis and phobias. I work collaboratively with clients from an EMDR therapy perspective along with an adjunct of mindfulness.

In addition to my EMDR certification, I have a certification as a sound practitioner and can integrate the grounding vibrational properties of sound with crystal singing bowls in session to create a deeply transformative and supportive space for you. In my spare time, you can find me travelling, in the mountains, spending time with my husband  or catching up on the latest Netflix documentaries.

I am Claudia, I identify with the pronouns she/her/hers. I am a Registered Social worker with over 12 years’ experience providing psychosocial support to families and individuals coping with the impact of difficult life stressors and challenges. I have a BSW from the University of Victoria, a Masters degree in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University and a Masters of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. In between my schooling, I had also worked teaching in Hong Kong and Japan, and spent time as a social worker in Australia as well.

I aim to provide a safe, supportive and compassionate environment for individuals and children who may be experiencing distress, relational conflict, trauma or grief/loss; and walk with them as they move towards healing and growth. I work from a client-centered, strengths-based perspective, and will tailor therapeutic approaches to the needs of the client. I believe with working collaboratively with clients to explore their goals in therapy. I utilize EMDR along with mindfulness techniques and skill building, to reduce the effects of the trauma on their life and relationships today.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, travelling and practicing yoga, which I find to be restorative and helpful in reconnecting with myself.  I am a trained 200 hr yoga teacher, in addition to having specific training as a Children’s Yoga Teacher and believe that a holistic approach is essential. I have a special interest in working with complex family dynamics and separation/divorce.

Kayla Pepe, RCC
EMDR Therapist (Adults only)
EMDR Intensives 4 +hours

I’m Kayla (she/her), I'm a mixed ancestry Métis woman. I am passionate about working with individuals of all ages in strengthening their mental wellness through art, play, talk therapy and EMDR.  Our core beliefs are often formed in childhood and they shape our behaviours in a big way. When we recognize these beliefs and start to transform them, we can begin to live our lives with more peace and alignment. EMDR therapy has truly changed my life and therefore I'm enthusiastic about helping others with this approach. Though I'm fairly new to private practice, I have many, many years experience as a teacher, a youth care counsellor, nanny and support worker for children with special needs.

Currently, I am only taking new adult clients for short-term EMDR and EMDR intensives. If you're interested in finding out more about my approach, please book a free 15 minute consultation. I would love to hear from you.

Areas of interest: recovery from abusive and toxic relationships, parent-child triggers, breaking people-pleasing habits, anxiety

Some of my hobbies include painting with watercolours, photography, baking and spending time by the ocean.

I am Sena, and my pronouns are she/her. I am a Registered Social Worker with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Minnesota and have specialized training in trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, Sandtray Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and Theraplay.

My approach emphasizes creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their inner strength and resilience on their journey to healing. I am passionate about empowering individuals and families to uncover their innate capacity for growth while guiding them through life’s challenges with compassion and care.

I specialize in working with children, youth, families, and individuals, focusing on trauma, attachment, and life transitions. With both personal and professional experience working with immigrants and newcomers, I am deeply attuned to the impact of racism, discrimination, and cultural transitions on mental health. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive, ensuring that clients feel seen, heard, and understood.

Outside of my professional life, I love spending time with my family, exploring nature, and discovering new restaurants and coffee spots.

Virtual Only

I am Emma and my pronouns are she/her.

I have an undergrad degree in Social Work from UBC and a Master of Social Work in Indigenous Trauma and Resiliency, from the University of Toronto. I am an experienced Social Worker having worked at my local health authority in addictions treatment for the last 15 years.

Additionally, outside of my work with the health authority and Kindred Counselling I facilitate clinical individual and group psychedelic-assisted therapy in Kelowna and am currently a trained Therapsil Affiliate. With years of study, personal experience, and specialized training alongside some of the top professionals in the field, as a part of integration work I offer guidance for spiritual exploration and personal growth with folk’s experiences with psychedelics, as well as offer support for those navigating challenging psychedelic experiences using EMDR therapy.  My services are grounded in a deep understanding of how to integrate psychedelic experiences safely and meaningfully.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, empathy, and a true understanding of the diverse challenges that life can bring and know that although adverse childhood experiences may have been impactful on you, healing is possible for everyone. Having personally faced significant life challenges such as trauma, addiction, homelessness, loss, and aging out of foster care, I understand the complexities of healing from difficult experiences. My own journey has shaped my trauma-informed approach, and I bring a unique perspective to supporting clients who are navigating their own challenges. EMDR has been key in my own recovery, and I am confident that EMDR will be an effective treatment for your recovery as well. If you’re ready to take the next step toward healing and growth, please feel free to contact me.
