EMDR Prong 1: Touchstone Memory Elevator Float Back Script for Teens/Adults 1pg
Try this unique way to get the touchstone memory. Have your client step into an elevator and go back in time to the first/worst times they felt the same way as the current target. The numbers in the elevator represent the age they are going back to. Once the elevator door opens have them describe their sensory experience. If they have arrived to the desired memory also ask "what is the worst part" of revisiting this particular experience/moment in time.
