Claudia Hui
MA, MSW, RSW
EMDR Therapist
I’m Claudia and I identify with the pronouns she/her/hers. I have been supporting individuals and families in mental health and community settings since 2011. I received my Bachelor of Social work degree from the University of Victoria and a Masters of Social work from Wilfrid Laurier University. I believe that each individual has the innate capacity to heal from trauma and overcome personal challenges and I aim to provide a safe space to facilitate movement towards that path. As a therapist I believe in a client-centered and trauma-informed care. My approach is grounded in building a safe and compassionate environment where the individual can explore their inner world and emotions with support and guidance.
I also have working knowledge of Cantonese and Mandarin and have an additional interest in providing service and promoting emotional wellness to the Chinese community.
My Personal Interests
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, figuring out how to travel with two little ones. I also enjoy staying active and practicing yoga, which I find restorative and helpful in reconnecting with myself.
