RCC / RSW Job Posting

Position: RCC / RSW Independent Contractor to work with children, youth and families

Times: Weekend and/or mornings shifts

Kindred means “a special connection between two people”, this highlights the relationship-focused services we value at Kindred Counselling. Kindred Counselling is a budding private practice and has been in business for five years. We have naturally grown and progressed over time leading to the decision to expand services. We currently work with children, youth and individual adults and primarily do EMDR and play therapy.

Many of our clients say that it was our website that drew them into wanting to connect and book services with us. So, it is important that each of the associates at Kindred Counselling authentically align with Kindred Counselling’s mission and values.

We believe in creating a welcoming, accepting and supportive atmosphere for our clients. Our mission is to empower our clients through psycho-education, client-counsellor collaboration and professional child/person-centred counselling services. Furthermore, we also value using a trauma-informed, culturally-competent and ecological perspective.

Kindred Counselling is located in the north Burnaby area (Hastings and Boundary). There is plenty of free parking around the building, and it is easily accessible off HWY 1. The offices are in the Enterprise Centre and are among other health-related professionals who rent offices as well. It is a friendly, quiet and professional environment that includes all the amenities you would expect in a functioning office environment.
